That is very cool and would be a wonderful addition to anyone's collection, a real piece of history, it would look perfect in the Whiskey room at Ferintosh.

You can still have a drink in Poosie Nancie's in Mauchline. It is not far from Ayr and does a good bar lunch too. It is hardly changed from Burns' time. The whole area is well worth a visit for anyone planning to come here. I posted a thread a while ago about this auction sale -

it is worth a look if you are in Edinburgh later this month - full kilt outfits, jacket hose the lot for £200-300 guide price, swords, dirks, sgian dhubhs, sporans lots of goodies to get you drooling.
