    Loss of co-worker and friend

I was met this morning at work with the message that one of the managers that I work with pasted away yesterday morning. He was in his mid-fifties and simply died in his sleep. He was a friend one one of the closest people to me at work. His passing is also a huge lost at very critical time of potential very large growth within the area that he managed.
His passing was without any warning or hint of any problem. For me this makes it hard to believe that it has happened.

My heart goes out to his family, his friends and the emptiness that will never be filled.

    My condolences

So sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. Such a loss is all the sadder for the lack of opportunity to prepare for it, and make farewells.

Although I'm only 62, whenever I check the obits I never fail to find someone younger than me dying of some natural or accidental cause. Tomorrow is guaranteed to noone, so it only brings home the point that one should DO IT NOW! (Whatever that would be for each of us.)

That is something that I come more and more aware of everyday. I am 'only' 43, but I have seen many die that are younger than me. I have realized that the part of this that has been so hard was that there was no forewarning.
