The Couriers Cometh
It's been like Christmas around here today.
Got home early from work, and lo & behold, there's my clan badge (from Tartan Museum) by the mailbox, where FedEx had left it. Nice piece, decent heft, with good detail. Immediately placed it upon my balmoral.
A short while later, the UPS man stopped... my hose (from Sock dreams) had arrived. Two pair, off-white-cream & hunter green. Haven't tried them on, yet, but color is nice, and the material feels soft. Should be good for warm weather.
Next, the mailman arrives with my garter tabs. Black, nothing fancy, but seem like a reasonable match for my existing kilts.
An hour later, I hear a truck pull up... It's DHL delivery. My Stewart Hunting (from KiltMart) kilt has come. I anxiously pull it out of the shipping pouch... Looks nice. Try in on... everything OK with the fit. I removed basting, and try on again. Fits nice, pleats are sharp, decent swing. The leather buckles are a bit flimsy; I'll be careful with those. Material is soft, a bit lighter than my SWK, but otherwise very similar to my SWK. I'm pleased, for the cost.
Needless to say, I've been like a giddy kid, this afternoon!

Nice trick getting all of those delivered the same day! The only way to make it better would be getting a IRS check.

LOL
One dark stain on the day:
While out on our evening walk, I saw something shiny, and picked it up.
The good news:
I found my kilt pin, which had fallen off, the nite before.
The bad news:
It was mangled beyond rehabilitation.
Oh well... guess I'll have to see if I can find one I like at McLain Festival, this weekend.
