FireFighters
Hello all,
Its been a while since I have posted and not many at that. I am currently going thru the USAF Fire Academy and 7 days from graduation where I will be going to North Carolina, Goldsboro area. My question to you all is do I have any brothers out there? Fellow Firefighters, civilian or military, this side of the pond or the other?
Take care and be well

Kiltedfirepiper is a fire fighter that lives in Tuscon. I'm sure he'll see this post soon and respond.
Good on you, and thank you for your service!

from one fire dog to another welcome to the sickness!!
soon you'll see bad accidents and w/o thinking about it say "cool!" not because someone got hurt...but because you will mentally go through the steps to rip the car apart to get to the patient!!
it took my wife about 8 mo. to get used to me saying stuff like that lol
that and you will probably never stay in a hotel higher than the 5th floor, and start looking for FDC's , sprinklers, hydrants, and looking at building construction!!
congrats!!

I teach pipes for my local FD. They've made me an honorary firefighter, for what it's worth.

Firefighter and National Registry Paramedic, Divemaster, Pediatric Advanced Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support Instructor, medical aircrew certified, with advanced certifications in wilderness search & rescue and man tracking, marine, riverine, and whitewater search & rescue, technical mountain & high angle rescue, urban search & rescue, and auto extrication.
Sadly, that was several intervertebral discs (and surgeries) ago. Now I'm just a piper.

Not a firefighter - but when you get to Goldsboro (I presume Seymour Johnson) we have a very active Scottish Heritage Society in New Bern - about 1+ hour away. Check out the website in my signature block.
