Well, my wife & I returned to our desert home late yesterday afternoon from our 12 day excursion to the Pacific Northwest.

So, now that I've loaded the software for my new Canon PowerShot S5 IS & downloaded the 500+ pictures I took on the trip (my first real workout with a digital camera), I have the pleasure of posting a few photos of my visit to Freedom Kilts & the Victoria Kilt Night we enjoyed last Wednesday.

Here I am, off to see the Wizard...

The Three Kilteers (L-R: me, The Wizard of BC & Big Mikey)

Then Big Mikey's wife & my wife joined in the photo op. This was the entire rabble that was having a fine time at Freedom Kilts that morning.

Then that night several of us met at the Irish Times Pub down in Bastion Square in beautiful downtown Victoria. In this first photo the flash didn't go off, so this was the best I could improve the rather dark image. Lets see if I remember everyone's name correctly, from left-to-right there's me, Liz, Liz's hubby David, Steve & Ben (who was visiting from Nashville & I'm not sure how he came to join our rabble, but he & his wife, who took this & the next photo, were most welcome guests). Unfortunately, Steve's wife, Bobby, had to go home before these pictures were taken because of the early start of her work day.

And here we are doin' "The Derek."

My wife & I had a thoroughly wonderful time in Victoria. The welcome from the local rabble (Steve, Bobby, Big Mikey & David) was very warm. It was great getting the full tour of the new (& still under construction) home of Freedom Kilts (where I was measured for a kilt & kilt shirt). And the weather was perfect for touring this charming city. My sincere thanks to our northern neighbors for making this such an enjoyable & memorable time!
