    Question Flash storage

I wear hose and hose flashes almost always, and have many pairs of flashes and their elastic strapps. I have many tartan flashes and several of solid colors.

On my recent trip to mexico, I just threw them into a suitcase pocket, with less than perfect results. The elastic bands got tangeled and the flashes got crunched. When I got home, I ironed them out, and also gathered them into one spot and checked out their condition. Most were OK, but some needed cleaning and/or ironing.

The flashes that needed ironing, needed ironing because of the way that I was storing them - mainly in my sock drawer.

For those of you who wear hose flashes a lot - How do you store them???

Mine are stored with my kilt hose I have at times hung them off the hanger that the kilt is on, however more often than not they are with the hose in the drawer, not sure what the best way would be.

Don't wear them, no muss, no fuss.

    Probably doesn't count though.

Hey, wait, I do have some from thirty years ago, or so. I put them on the hanger under the socks so they've kept their shape.

Have you considered buying a small CD case to keep them in?

Sure, but I guess I haven't gotten the quantity across. I have way too many to put into CD cases.

The idea of plastic bags might work, except I have flashes that fit different hose, flashes that can be used with different tartans, and flashes that go with different trartans. Putting them in plastic bags and then putting that plastic bag with the kilt implies that the kilt can and/or will only be worn with one pair of flashes. That's not true.

I was hoping that someone had come up with something new for flashes.

We have hangers for kilts, hangers for coats, hangers for shirts. Hose can be rolled up and put into a drawer, hats on the shelf, shoes onto shoe racks.

So far nothing for flashes. I had thought of seperating the flashes from the elastic and putting the flashes into a box, cardboard, wooden, plastic or whatever - and then the elastics into another box, but then I would have to string the flashes each time.

    Oh well I'll keep looking.
