A kilted Book Signing
If anyone has not read the "Outlander" series by Diana Gabaldon I'm sure your wife has. Historically based, bodice ripper, with kilts.
Anyway, Diana Gabaldon is coming to Victoria for a signing of her new book and Bobbie (the wife known as kiltedknome) has a bunch of tickets.
If anyone would like a free ticket all you need do is promise to show up in kilt.
Now imagine this,,,, 250-300 women with fantasies about highlanders in kilts.
Four or five of the rabble wearing kilts.
I will be giving self-defense classes before the event.

I've read the book and several of the other ones in her series. Wish I could be there, I like the odds. Self defense, well, maybe

They are not bad books. My wife started to read them while we were in Scotland in 1999, and out of "nothing else to read" on a long bus ride I started the first and have read the rest now too.

She's from Flagstaff, and I've seen her at a couple of places around town. It's always a hoot to be kilted at one of her events.

Steve, when and where? Anna and I would be interested. Actually, maybe Anna wouldn't be; I don't think I'll bother informing her of this event. So, can I get one ticket for me?

David, I have set aside your ticket. You may want to re-think leaving Anna at home. You may need her for protection. Then again,,,,,,,,,,

Aw, shucks! Thanks anyway, Steve, but I'm going to be away for a little R&R that week. Have fun!
