No. Canadian Thanksgiving is this coming Monday. (Is it always the 2nd Monday of October?) The US Thanksgiving is the fourth Thursday in November.

    Have a great Thanksgiving.
The Canadian one is to celebrate the end of the harvest. The American one is the anniversary of that Pilgrim & Aboriginal truce dinner (that's if everything I have ever seen is not a lie!)
We have two thanksgivings at our house. The one in October we celebrate with our family. We throw another one on the US Thanksgiving for our friends. Everyone comes over and we watch football and cook. Last year my sister and I renovated our apartment just for our second Thanksgiving. It's one of my favorite holidays!

Actually, the first "official" (as in declared by proclamation) American thanksgiving day was to celebrate the American victory at Saratoga during the Revolution. It was enacted by the Continental Congress in nearby York, PA. And trust me, the local tourism groups won't let anyone forget that York was the first Capital of the US.

In Canada, Thanksgiving is the first Sunday in October. The stat holiday is the Monday following it.

Gee, Grant, I feel your pain, It's a four day weekend for me. Today, I had to sleep in, play guitar, eat. All to reinforce my Scottish play ethic.

Play Ethic, something for you to follow for most of the weekend, Robert. Thanks for your blessings and right back at you.
