Portland, Oregon kilt night

Hello everyone

Let's all find a date, time and place for us to meet this month.

I belong to a Scottish reenactment group, we all wear kilts and we all like an excuse to get together to drink and eat too much.
I've discussed a Portland kilt night during our last meeting and we're all interested in attending.

Who else is interested?

Seriously, let's plan this one out and maybe make it a regular thing.

Hey Iain, I saw Dale's post about a Samhein gathering and haven't seen any more about it. I was thinking that Friday Oct 26 or Saturday Oct 27 sounded like a good night to gather at the Stillhouse in Oregon City. I'm open to other suggestions though. I'll be watching for more info, I'd love to be there.

The stillhouse sounds good to me even though it is a bit small.

Before I confirm, I have to find out some things from the rest of my group, but for now the 27th seems do-able.

Would any of your friends from the Bailey group be attending as well?

Hey there

It seems that my group is already attending a previously scheduled function on the 27th.
We're still intertested in the kilt night, and when we show up, we tend to take over a place :-)
it doesn't seem like many people would be in attendance at this kilt night anyways.

We can always try the 1st or 2nd weekend of November.

Have you heard anything about the Kilted walk on Peacock lane happening this year?

As far as I know the Peacock Lane kilt walk is happening. I'll post something as soon as I hear more from Dale. I'm still planning on stopping in at the Stillhouse on the 27th about 7:30 but keep me posted on any gatherings your group may be thinking of, it sounds like a fun group.

While we are certainly planning to do the Peacock kilt walk, The Jacobean Guard is also having a Burns dinner at the local 290 Union hall in Tualatin on Jan 19th.
I will post more information as the time draws nearer, but we have discussed how great it would be to have some members of the Bailey combat group attend
