    What's in Your Sporran?

Okay, I was going to add this to one of the old "sporran-stuffing" threads, but I can't seem to open them right tonight. So -

Thorfinn sporran: car/house keys, work keys, wallet, work credentials, handerkerchief, cell phone, digital camera
No eyeglass case that day, but it would have fit.

    So, what's in yours?

Today was a light day. I don't usually carry more than this.

Don't have a picture, but my sporran holds a Sig-Pro 2340 quite nicely.

This is what I can fit in my Ferguson Britt sporran:

I don't usually carry my checkbook unless I have some banking business to do, but when I need it, it fits fine. Also, there is usually some room left for the random item I might need to carry. For instance, since my Lasik surgery I'e been carrying some eye drops with me. This weekend at the Highland Games I had my measuring tape. You never know what you might find in my beaver!

The main reason to own a beaver fur sporran is because ofthe extremely soft and luxurious feel of the pelt.

The secondary reason is, of course, the endless puns and possible innuendos. :-)

I see some of you carry loose change. How do you get to it without taking everything out of your sporran? I have one of those plastic squeeze things to keep my change in, but normally don't carry it with my sporran.

    DALE.

You don't have to be Scottish to be comfortable!

That's a good point. I don't have a picture yet, but I carry lots of stuff, and the coins get lost without something to organize. I mostly make sure there's a flask.

I have one of those rubber squeeze coin purses as well, but I also have a very small leather draw-string bag that holds more if I'm going to be out all day. If I use the leather bag, I usually have things like change, nail clippers, guitar picks, chap stick, and a small Swiss Army knife.

I highly recommend the little change purse from CavScout, too, since it slides in and out more easily than the suede pouch I use.
