A nice thing happend at Stanford
So I was was walking across campus back to my building, returning from the University IT fair. As I amble down Serra Avenue three students are coming towards me. One stops and says..."I like your kilt. I made one this past weekend."
...or words to that effect.... I asked him if he knew what a Utilikilt was, and if He liked them. He was enthusiastic.
We got to talking. He'd bought some plaid material and stitched himself up some sort of kilt. So I handed my coffee cup to one of his friends, dug down into my backpack and gave him a copy of the X-Kilt instructions. I'd printed a copy to do some preliminary editing. He kind of goggled, saw www.xmarksthescot.com at the top and said he'd check us out.
So, young lad from Stanford University who talked to the old bald guy in the kilt on the street the other day...If you make yourself an X-Kilt, be sure to find a couple of goodly lasses in Roble Hall, Manzanita, Stern, GovCo, FloMo or wherever you live, pose them artfully around yourself, and take pictures of your kilt when you finish it.

Oh, and send me your e-mail. I'll shoot you an invite to our next Kilt Dudes Coffee and you can hang out with a couple of us elderly staff guys.
BTW, mate...I have had two other guys on campus come running up to me to say they wear kilts, they're pipers. so SOMEWHERE around campus, there's a couple of bro's wandering around. I bet, if you make and wear your kilt, they'll appear out of the woodwork.
Besides, girls like 'em.

I think I know one of the pipers, he recently moved back here to Reno. I might be wrong, he might have changed colleges. Haven't heard from him in a while. He did play with the Prince Charles grade 1 Pipe Band.
