How much do you love your friends???
I have offered to make my two best friends custom Sgian Dubhs for Christmas. Now these two guys are die hard Star Wars fans. So they are getting Jedi and Empire sgian dubhs. The Jedi one is made from deer antler, organic looking in keeping with the rebel feel. The other one has a wood handle and I think I am going to give it a little more of a militaristic feel. I ordered little pewter insignias for the handle ends. (you guessed it one Jedi, on Empire)
I have no workshop, limited tools and live in an apartment. I spent 2 hours outside today in -12C weather working on them. They are turning out very nicely. It was not too bad as I was dressed correctly and wore protective gear to keep the antler dust out.
It should take me another few hours to finish them. With my work schedule I don't know when that will be. I just have to fit the blade in and do some finishing work. My sister's brother-in-law is a blacksmith and made the blades for me. They look great!!
I will post pictures a little after Christmas, I know my friends lurk on here sometimes.
Thanks for listening, I was just excited and wanted to share.

I am only currently taking applications for friends that want INDOOR projects as we have just had a foot and a half of snow fall in the past two days!!! ![Shocked](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_eek.gif)
This may delay a gift or two!!
