    Considering Military Box Pleat

Ok, so I now find myself owning 8 yds of 16oz Black Watch. I was thinking of having a military box pleat kilt made and I was wondering whether the Black Watch was a good candidate for that kind of kilt.

Also if it is, does anyone offer it?

Probably looking to order it shortly after the new year when i finish loosing the excess I put on over the last year.

Wow this will mean three new kilts ordered as I owe Steve at FK measurements for two as well. Oh well what a good new year it will be.

    Thanks.

I'm familiar with those, but unfortunately that doesn't help me with the 8yds of Black Watch tartan own.

Kathy's the one for sure. Nice lady, well schooled. There was just another thread on this somewhere. She even went back to Scotland to learn Military Box Pleating after graduating from Keith Kilt School.

And she will sew up kilts from material you already have. Other kilts she just orders in the material as a service since she has the connections and knows the options.
