Rats, I'm going to be there the 23rd and 24th. We'll miss each other by a week. I'm guessing you're doing something up at the Naval Facility there?
The Flying Saucer is a great place to land for a wide beer selection served by the lovely beer goddesses there. A stroll down Beale Street always eleicits a variety of interactions. I've met folks from Ireland and Wales there just because I was wearing a kilt.

I have to go up to the clinic up there and check on them. It will be my first time up there so I'll be trying to check out everything I can, and of course look for Elvis
Have to see how their BBQ is if it can compare to ND style ...witch we all know is the best

For the best pulled pork in Memphis, Go to Neely's Interstate BBQ on Elvis Presley Blvd. For the best rack of Dry Rub, it's the Barbecue Shop on Madison, and for the best wet ribs it's the Cozy Corner on ...on...d@mn, I forgot!
Downtown most folks go to the Rendezvous.
So far Memphis BBQ beats any I've had elsewhere.

If it was a weekend I'd try to get up there too. But be sure to drop Dirk Skene a PM. I know he's very busy right now but he can give you some great ideas if he's unable to get with your himself for a kilt night.
