Another night of Great SEKS
Saturday, February 23, 2008 at the Spotted Dog in Atlanta. Cavscout and I collaborated on the date. It's 4 weeks after the ATL Burns Dinner. We're trying to encourage more regular get-togethers for ATL kilties.
The Spotted Dog is is a British pub just west of Peachtree street on North avenue, around the corner from the Fabulous Fox theater. Centrally located so no whining about how far it is. The only item of business will be to set the date and location for the next kilt nite. We'll try to rotate locations around compass points to allow everyone to not have to travel too far occasionally. Nice beer and scotch selection at reasonable prices.
Just come, don't wimp out. SOKS and Nor-Cal put us to shame, especially considering the number of kilties in and around ATL..

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

Look at it this way, Turp...if three of you show up, you still have Chicago beat!

Is the Spotted Dog that place that used to be a fire station?
Where is the closest place to park?
Thanks for organizing this. I hope to be able to be there, but may be in India then.

Whimper...... I "Think" I will be back by then. I am due to leave Hyderabad on Thursday the 31st of Jan.... However, I have just been informed that I have to make a layover in London for a period of time.... I have no idea how long. (besides, I am not sure I would have a kilt to wear.... I am down about three inches in the middle..... Have to go see Matt!)
Hope to see all of you guys there!
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon

Yes, former fire house, I believe. There are plenty of parking lots as it's near the Fox, but may be costly if the Fox has a show that nite. Take Marta to North Avenue and walk 2 blocks, or park a bit out and walk. I'll scout it out a bit more.

Mike, just wear your kilt like an original Philabeg - wrapped around the waist and belted.
If you can't make it our next regular meeting would take place on National Tartan Day, April 6, or the next weekend nite thereafter.

That's the idea, Mr. ccga3359. The Great South-Eastern Kilt Society is sloooooooowwwly (oh so slooooooooowwwly) gathering momentum. We will soon pass up the Kilt Club of Guatamala for attendance at group activities.

Isn't "South Eastern Kilt Society" a little broad. I didn't realize it was just "Hotlanta".
That said, it is a wonderful acronym!
