New Scottish Tartans Register
As many of you will already be aware, there are plans afoot in Scotland to establish a new official national register of tartans. I was nominated to represent the governors of the Scottish Tartans Authority on the Steering Group that is developing this... and I'm now also on the government Working Party charged with implementing it.
Now, lots of people keep asking me what's happening. Therefore, in a spirit of utter laziness, to avoid having to answer the same questions dozens of times, I thought I'd try to summarise where we've got to in one place. So if you're interested, you'll find it here, on my brand new blog:

Any comments and feedback welcome, of course, which I'll try to feed into the process if possible.
Nick
