New Kilt Arrived
Well, my new (first) kilt just arrived late yesterday afternoon! Tried it on last evening and showed it off to the family. All I have to say is wow, the fit and feel were great. When I opened the box and first took the kilt out I was surprised at the weight, but after I had it on the weight was hardly noticable.
BTW I got a 16oz formal in Caladonian modern made by Strathmore through the Celtic Croft. The hand stitching is wonderful, and the pleat to the sett is as perfect as I could have hoped for. If any of you are looking for a new kilt I'd recommend Celtic Croft, they certainly gave me great service, and never hesitated to answer any questions I had on my many phone calls to them. Thanks to Lauri, Steve and the rest of the staff there.
Can't wait to put it back on this evening and head over to my parents house, and my friend from the Scottish border country to show them.

Congratulations. But be prepared: As someone once told me, it may be the first of more. Certainly seems that way. I've ordered 3 in the past 2 weeks!

Me Too,
I was lucky enough to find a weathered Gordon from Celtic Croft a while back. Guess they'd made it for someone else who got their size wrong. The "mistake" size turned out to be my size and I snapped it up. 13 oz from Lochcarron cloth.
Here's a pic of the Celtic Croft craftsmanship.
And, as you said the service was wonderful. Such a delight when you make that first call and discover customer oriented service.

I'll try to get a picture posted this evening. Never posted pictures before, so hang in there if I don't get it correct the first time.
