I've posted a pic of my Pictish boar tattoo on another thread, but here it is again...

...and my jack-o-lantern tattoo which could be seen as celtic when you consider that there is a long tradition of carving lanterns from vegetables in Ireland and the British isles.

I will take some pics when I'm not at work...

I currently (as I plan to get many more) have...
    * My son's name in celtic lettering down one tricep.
    * Donnachaidh in celtic lettering down one rib cage, colored in blue and white for the soltair.
    * A huge clan crest on my back.
    * a image taken from the book of kell's on my deltoid. It is a beging piece as eventually it will cover the entire shoulder, frame the pec, down the tricep and bicep.

I have several more planned out and the images already on file with my tatoo artist. Works well when he's one of your best friends.
I personally will only stick to family or historical tatoos.

I will post a picture if someone wants it, or they can ask privately. Maybe this is a bit Celtic, I don't know. Well, sure, part of it is! I have a castle with a dragon coming out of a wizards staff. I have things I like in the tattoo on my upper left arm, but I couldn't fit in a kilt, so I tell people, "The wizard is wearing a kilt under is robes!" My wife and I didn't know what to get each other for Christmas and so we each got a tat. Now I am kinda of "hooked" on tats and might get a few more.

    DALE.

You don't have to be Scottish to be comfortable!

Never had a tat until I was 59 years old. Finally found the time, money, and an artist I trusted.

This is my Scottish heart chest tattoo by Matt Green. The Scottish heart represents my heritage. The tattoo is a reminder of a profound spiritual experience I had in a Navajo sweatlodge. The upside down Navajo rainbow with sun represent the culture that brought on the experience. The 12 arrowheads are symbolic of the Navajo Nation seal and represent the 12 steps of recovery from my alcoholism.

My grandfather Murdoch Macdonald, and his father Archibald Macdonald were hardrock miners. My great grandfather John Lewis was a coal miner.
I worked underground in the old Red Mountain mine above Ouray, Colorado as a youth of 18. The crossed rock hammers are in memory of my family history in the mines. Art is by Pat at Burly Fish in Flagstaff, Arizona. This is my most recent tat and sorta had to fit it in.

This full back tatto is by Matt Green. The sea turtle is a spiritual being in my family history and my own spiritual beliefs. Recently, I have come to associate it with the Peter McDonald song, South Sea Scots.

All my tattoos have a spiritual meaning for me...not all are Scot related.

This is a bad collage with bad pictures of all of my tattoos so far.
I don't know if anything except my clan crest can really be classed as strictly 'Scots' but they all reflect my life and my heritage.

A clan crest on my right bicep, (About to have a buckler put around it) 3 Pictish animals and a triskelon on my right forearm, a Celtic hound on my left forearm, a Celtic griffin on my lower back and a Celtic falcon on my left calf.

    Hey Arlan,

The clan crest with the boat is gonna be my next tattoo. Been waiting for the book Clan Donald rewrite to be published for the main reason of being able to take the dust cover to the tattoo artist to draw from.

Not being of Christian beliefs its just asking too much for me to get a tattoo of the cross in the mailed fist clan emblem. But art for the ship emblem is difficult to find in enough detail for an artist to work from.

No clue why the publication date for the book keeps getting pushed back. Been over a year now.

    Anyhow, great tat!
