    Scotthish Heritage Month?

I read somewhere that "Scottish Heritage Month" was being considered due to many being of Scottish descent. Anyone here about this? Was this already in place? Do I live under a rock? Will I stop asking questions?

The North Carolina legislature declared April Scots/Scots-Irish Heritage Month in 2007. See http://www.triadhighlandgames.org/sc...tagemonth.html for full text of the resolution.

Let's do it up right. Put it out to the public as it should be.

There is a very active movement in the US to establish the entire month of April as "National Scots,Scots-Irish Heritage Month".Other groups have months of recognition example: African-American History Month,Hispanic-American Month,Asian-Pacific Month,Irish-American Month: the Scottish and Scots-Irish are about the only group left out.Considering what they have contributed to this great country, they deserve fair recognition. We urge people to get involved, contact your local, state and federal representatives and urge them to act.You can also find out more "google"-scots,scots-irish heritage month",also visit:wwwthecapitalscot.com,and www.electricscotland.com.There is also an online petition. We live in a very diverse nation where other groups have adequate time federally designated to educate the public and we must teach our history, heritage and culture as well. Many states have time designated to the Scots, but many have nothing, thus the need for a national month.feel free to contact us.Thank you,James-atholl123456@peoplepc.com
