    OK I give up

Where can you find a reasonable priced Brown sporran?
I have checked numerous sites but most only show black,or the very expensive dress sporrans.
I'm more into casual kilts and don't want to sacrifice the price of a nice kilt for a sporran.

Honestly I'd check out our DIY (do it yourself) forums. And go to your local leather store, and hand make your own for only a few dollars. If you don't find the responses you're looking for in the next day or so, inquire in our DIY forum and ask for some help, and i'm sure you'll find everything you need with them. Good luck!

Stillwater offers one, though not always available, I'm sure. Too popular!

Have looked at the Buzz Kidder sporran? The come in both brown and black, while I do not have one they have a good name, also not sure if it is outside you budget but you might want to look into a freelander sporran as well, remember you really do get what you pay for.

The Scottish Tartans Museum stocks the Buzz Kidders:

The black ones are pictured, but most of these also come in brown.

There are also the plain military style sporrans which are brown. I believe WPG sells them, among others.

    Best regards,

You can also check out www.scottish-sporrans.co.uk Janet is very nice to work with and they make a very nice product. I just received a black Rob Roy from her and I am really happy with the quality. Her prices are very reasonable as well.

You should definitely work with Turpin Ballard/Thorfinn Sporrans. http://www.thorfinnsporrans.com/index.html

His sporrans and workmanship are really beautiful and he has quite a few options to make yours unique. And, for a handmade custom sporran, he's affordable and you get something no one else will have.

Here are pics of the one he just made for me, with its two detachable flaps (one of his unique innovations...)in matching leather and red fox...
