Talking Tara....from Buffy the Vampire Slayer

OK completely unrelated to kilts, but I know we have some Buffy fans on the forum. Today was 'Free Comicbook Day' and the lovely and talented Amber Benson, who played Tara on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, was in town to promote a film. She stopped in a local comics shop to sign a few autographs as well. She has been pretty busy of late, writing for a couple of comics, and writing and producing films, a very talented young woman!
Since I had to work the lovely Mrs.Z had the duty to go hang out with the stars this time. Amber was kind enough to sign a couple of books for us, and give me a call at work!

She is even prettier in person than she was on the show!

A very talented lady (and she can really sing!)

The lovely Flame-Haired Celtic Amazon Goddess and I watched the series (and Angel) devotedly. We just started re-watching the whole series on our DVDs last week.

    Very cool!

    Cheers

That was my favorite show for a long time, the only thing that would have made that better would have been if Willow had been there too.

Very cool. I was more of a Spike fan. I can so see him in one of the TFCK kilts doing the whole 'Clockwork Orange' look.

Your wife gets a thumbs up for scoring the books!

    free comic book day

I went to the "other" shop [i.e. not the one where I have my pull list] in town yesterday and they were being VERY stingy with the free books. When I walked in [c. 11 am] they were saying "one book only" [out of ~20 -30 on offer] which they soon changed to "ok you can have a few."

I am going to swing by my regular shop this afternoon and pick up some "leftovers."

SharpDressedScot, I bet that you could do the same at your shop [especially if you, like me, prefer the "alternative" books]

Which reminds me, I need to start a kilts in the media thread for one of [regular] books that came out this week

Well, to be honest, if Alyson Hannigan would have been there I would be in the pictures too! They would have had to do without me at work for a couple hours!

Very, very cool. I'm a big Buffy fan. I got coerced into it by my elder sister who is obsessed with Seth Green (Oz the werewolf).
Is it just me or has she lost A LOT of weight?
