Looking at those made MY eyes water! Good luck, and I hope you feel better soon.

Wowsers! That doesn't look comfy at all, my friend. I hope this passes for you quickly.

I think if you move further east, say Missouri, the air is not as pollen filled. We have less wheat, corn, and our farmers mostly feed grass to the hoofed animals.

The whole mid-west is filled with pollen and allergens of all kinds, all season long. One that gets everyone, to some degree, is giant rag-weed pollen. It looks like a spiked mace ball under the microscope, and is a physical irritant to everyone, with additional allergy symptoms in many.
I like the generic version of "Claratin" (loratadine), and supplement that with pseudo-ephedrine (pain in the rear now, due to additional regulations intended to curb Meth labs). But they are both inexpensive and effective, at least for me. Never tried the Visene allergy formula, but I use a lot of the regular type.
Medication helps, but if you are that sensitive, you may be afflicted for the duration of your stay in the mid-west, I am afraid. Good luck to you.

I suffer as well from allergies. Year round. The only time I didn't suffer from allergies was when I spent 7 days in the UK.

Pollen allergies can be really hard core. My wife suffers every spring here in upstate NY. If you get pulled over any time soon the cop will most likely think you're stoned.

AHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *just kidding*
I will say this... one appeal that Canada has is their winters (the only season that I'm truly comfortable) last longer in some areas than they do hear in North Carolina. That is a true appeal to my allergies and asthma. I suffer terrible asthma during Spring and Fall. Even my new doctor has told me that moving up north might be beneficial.

Drink more beer.
(I'm allergic to something that grows in Dallas, but not in Houston; so, I'm staying in Houston)
