    Will the jonesing ever cease?

You would think I would know better. Last year I wound up ordering 6 kilts. 3 from Stillwater (Marine boxpleat, black watch and Lamont), 2 from Matt (an 8yd MacKinnon Hunting Ancient and an Isle of Skye box pleat) and a scotweb 8 yarder (MacKinnon 1842 Variant).

Then I proceed to go to India for six months and lose a little weight. Now none of my kilts really fit any more (no complaining really, just facts.) So three of my kilts will be going to visit Matt next week to have some inches removed.

Now, as long as I am going to visit Matt, I just happen to have a little bit of material sitting around the house, what do I do with it?

Hmm, let's see. The 4.5 yards of double width xmarks tartan is going to Barb to be turned into one of her masterpieces (shipped off to her today). The 4 yards of double width 12oz MacKinnon Hunting to Matt for a box pleat for my bride. The unnamed fashion weathered tartan also to Matt for another box pleat for my wife and then the 16oz MacKinnon red to Matt for a box pleat for me...

What am I going to do with myself for the next 4 to six months while these masterpieces are being made....? I know! A new belt from Oconee Leather works and a new Sporran from Thorfinn..... hmmm, maybe it wont be so bad after all!

Thanks for that advice.... One of the reasons I waited 4 months prior to getting them sized. I have continued to slowly drop weight.... It is amazing what a little exercise and smaller meals make!
