overnight in Denver, Colorado
Hey folks, Where to eat/visit in Denver, Colorado. I'm in town and thought I would turn here in case I get asked to pick place for supper or breakfast.

There are plenty of good places to eat in Denver, it just depends on what you're looking for. Fine dining? Casual? Greasy spoon diner? We've got good examples of all of them. We've got some great steakhouses, good sushi, great cheap diners...
Let me know what you're in the mood for, and I can recommend several good places.

Definately stay at The Brown Palace. There are plenty of places to eat up and down the 16th Street Mall. The big REI store is within walking distance as is Coors Field if the Rockies are in town.

Oh my, sooooo many options. A lot depends on what type of food you are looking for and what your price range is. Even then, you can find good and bad in any of them. Another criteria would be where will you be staying. If you are all the way out by the airport we don't want to send you to the SW corner of the area to someplace like The Fort in Morrison or the other way around. BTW, when will you be there?

If you are in LODO lots of great places to eat. The Highland area around 32nd and Lowell has a tremendous amount of great places to eat. Sushi Den on South Pearl Street along with the Pearl Street Grill next door. The Black Pearl also on South Pearl.
Olde South Gaylord has Wash Park Grille, Reivers and Max Fish Grill.
Carmines on Pennsylvania and Bayaud, out of this world
Enjoy yourself.

We parked, somewhere, and rode the free bus on 16th Street. Ended up ar Rock Bottom Brewry.
Photographed Union Pacific locos, not as many around Maryland and Virginia.
Watched the black helicopters buzzing the area. Practice for convention?

Rock Bottom's not too bad. Pretty good balance between decent food and price.
Yes, the black helicopters are practicing for the DNC...of course, we were never told about this, so people have been calling into news stations all day asking about them.

Ate there last time we were in Denver. Food was pretty good. Did you try the brew "sample platter"?
BTW there is also a Coyote Ugly Bar in that area as well. We just had to go in there and have a drink to be able to say that we had been there. Nice bartenders.
