First Xkilt Complete
Just finished my first Xkilt. I started about 10am on Sunday morning, worked until about 5pm and passed out. Woke up at Midnight and started working from 1am til about 30 minutes ago.
It turned out nicely I think. It still needs to be cleaned and pressed but here's an idea of how it looks and some photos along the way.

The front left of the apron is a little wonky, but I think it may just be that the big under pleat needs some ironing.
I may add two more belt loops as well, but I got tired of sewing.

It looks pretty good, especially for a first attempt.

I can't see the pics as they're blocked at work, but congrats on finishing. I started mine this weekend and with about 4 hours of work in it am ready to tack the under-pleats.

Well done. The fact that guys tackle a sewing machine without fear and trepidation still amazes me!
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon

Oh I wasn't without fear. You should have seen me trying to figure out how to route the thread from the top (luckily there's little pictures with numbers.) Even worse was me trying to figure out how to replace and re-spool the bobbin.

Good job on the kilt. It takes a real man to wear (and sew his own) kilt!

Clearly. I showed my work friends the pictures.
