Summer 2008 Vacation
On 12th June, I flew off to the Island of Malta with 2 friends for a week. I thought I'd share some photos for those of you who enjoy looking at photos and all things historical.
This first one is for Alex:

My favourite part of Malta is the capital, Valletta. It has a war museum which I wanted to see on my first visit in 2001 but was partly closed for refurbishment. Would you believe it, this time around it was completely closed for refurbishment.
View of the Valletta skyline from Sliema:

View of the Siege Bell from the sea:

Final set
The Mosta Dome, which is famed for having an unexploded world war bomb come through the dome. Was safely removed and the dome repaired.

Oops, made a mistake. The rest are under the titles Continues and final set. If mods can group them together it would be appreciated. Thanks.

Oh my, these are nice....
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon

Fabulous photos! I can understand why you would want to go to the war museum; Malta has such an interesting military history.
