Let the jonesing begin!
So earlier this morning, I called up UK to ask if they had my size in workman or survival. They had it in both! So I ordered up a lovely basil survival, which should arrive... next week.
This is my first experience with jonesing. I am relatively certain it shouldn't cause a knot in my stomach from the excitement, but still. Props to Utilikilt for their products, and their sales personnel are awesome.

Congrats! Just remember the first rule of this board. A new kilt does not exist until we see visual proof of it hanging on your backside!
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon

I just recieved my first utilikilt not long ago. I ordered a standard in that dark green/brown color. When I sit, I don't have to push the apron down. It falls nicely between my legs, then I sit up and the pleats don't look smashed like other kilts. The pockets are huge. The overall construction of the garment is excellent. The whole thing is very heavy. The only problem with it is my family hates it, but that's okay because my girlfriend loves it.
I was walking around with a few beers in the pockets all weekend long. Not because I was drinking, just because I could. Of course I ended up drinking those beers later.
To mae a long story short: You have something awesome coming your way.

Does it have to be my backside?
I was thinking an edgy, no-shirt hip/angled shot, y'know? Will that do?
But seriously, I am stoked. I've heard almost nothing but good about UKs- the only bad is from people to whom they simply do not appeal. I haven't heard any beefs with the quality of the workmanship or anything like that. That and I've wanted one for years, but haven't had the money.

yay for the basil survivals! thats the second one I got!
Ofcourse.. in theory.... I wanna get a leather one at some distant future point... but I think I need at least a couple of years to get used to this kilty thing.. after all it took me 5 years of just messing about before I got the first one..

To H.M. Murdock:
Congrats!
It took me a while to work up the nerve, but i have been amazed at the acceptance and compliments which I have received. I own a taupe Survivor and a black Standard, and I've nothing but good things to say about the materials and workmanship. Go UK!
