Any interest in Harrisburg kilt night?
Is there any interest in holding a Harrisburg PA kilt night? Coakley's in New Cumberland seems like a great location for a kilt night. I could contact them if there is any interest.

When are you looking? I'm in Allentown and have always wanted to swing by my state capitol... keep me posted, can't guarantee I can make it but if it's doable I may stop by...

The date is open. I work in New Cumberland, about two miles from downtown Harrisburg, and live in Carlisle. There are a couple of interesting stops both in Harrisburg and New Cumberland. Celota's is in downtown Harrisburg, and I think they could accomodate. Coakley's in New Cumberland and I'm pretty sure they'd be open to a kilt night.

SIVA011,
I'm in Emmaus. Any gatherings around here? Harrisburg would be too far to drive.

I haven't heard about many gatherings here, except for the Celtic Classic in Bethlehem... hey it's good to know I'm not the only one in the area!!

I have seen many kilts in Harrisburg's ST Patrick's Day Parade, and the PA Renaissance Faire and Celtic Fling are very closeby -- no lack of kilts there. I know there are kilts in the area, at least for "special" occasions. I don't know if the word is out that we can, and should, meet at a local establishment for a Harrisburg area kilt night. BTW siva011, I'm planning to attend the Celtic Classic this year. We went last year, and it was a fantastic experience! I just need to remember to make hotel reservations soon. It was truly a wonderful weekend, and we fell in love with Bethlehem.

I will not be able to make it because during the Classic I will be getting married (kilted of course) just 15 minutes north of Bethlehem! We are planning on heading down the night before to get in a bit of music, but all day Saturday I would say we're a bit booked up
It is a good show though. It does draw out a lot of kilts, as does the Ren Faire and the Fling, and maybe far from Harrisburg but there is a great (free) fest in Green Lane. When I say I don't see many kilted in the area, I mean outside of fests and highland games.

How about McGrath's Pub? And then a pub crawl. Several good pubs in Harrisburg.
