and now my first leather sporran
went Tandy to get some leather today at lunch in a spur of the moment sort of thing after seing a post yesterday about some 'no jones' sporrans and since, as you know by now, I can't afford those prices for anything really, decided to make my own.
So $25 later, I went back to the office with the jones to get home and make my own sporran.
Nothing out of the ordinary, some nice deerskin leather, plus some leather lacing from older projects and voila! about 3 hours total time.
hand stitched and edge laced (obviously)
punching the holes is what took the longest.
it's a good start and for later projects I'll try a fur front panel.
comments? (excuse the poor cell phone camera but my E20 is giving me trouble lately)
