*stumbles in from the woods*
Good day!
Just sitting around putting off homework and I clicked on my old bookmark to X-Marks. I honestly hadn't realized it'd be so long since I'd been here, but as the nifty little message at the top of the page told me, it's been a few weeks since I posted. So I thought I'd drop a message to let everyone know I'm still alive.
I'm working dilligently to graduate in 209 days if the good Lord wills and the creek don't rise. I've got a classload that would make Stephen Hawking cringe and a stack of homework that is threatening to kick my butt all around campus. But Allaha akbar, and I just keep pushing on.
Kilt making and wearing has slowed to a minimum for me. Just had a whole lot of stress and drama and I just haven't put the kilt on...no real reason, just haven't done it. I'll probably pull one of them out for the big music department production in November.
Graduation plans look like I'll be moving to Austin, TX and working on my first Master's degree online from my current Alma Mater, Kentucky Christian University. After earning that degree (in Christian Leadership), I'll be pursuing a MA in Creative Writing from the University of Texas and a MA in Storytelling from East Tennessee State University. Once I've earned those (all of this will be while I'm working in the ministry around Austin or wherever I happen to live), I'm going to look into teaching at a Bible college while earning my Doctoral degree.
Wow...that's a small book. Sorry about that. Guess I just haven't really word-vomited my future to anyone, and you're the lucky bunch!
I do hope everyone on the boards is doing well.

Welcome back and good luck with all that. You sound as if you're going to be busy for a while. ith:

Glad you're still around and hope your studies are going well. Kilt up and lose some of the pressure of school life.

Hey Yeti, it has been a while and I hope that you finish the race strong!
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon

As an elder statesman of this group (at least by age) it's refreshing to see someone much younger who has mapped out his direction like you have. Best of luck, and keep us posted on progress.

Not trying any upmanship, but I am also an elder, (am I older than BEEDEE? We can fight that out by PM, my baby turned 40 last January). Hang in there! You seemed to have it all mapped out. Just remember though, R. Burn's "the best laid plans of mice and men. . . . " Sometimes things don't always work out as planed. Best of all to you.
