Old Threads

I've noticed a few really old threads being brought up lately. For some reason (and I'm not looking down at anyone) I tend to smile and wonder 'what were they thinking?'.

Perhaps they are doing what we are always advising them to do--to use the search feature and learning from those old threads what has been discussed already. Then if they have a fresh perspective or still need guidance, what is wrong with using an old thread to tie it all together?
