Post Times
I've noticed that when I'm viewing the forum some of the times on the posts are an hour ahead of the time where I live- Eastern Standard time. It's the same with posts I make, when I'm logged in the time is correct and when I log off it's an hour ahead. Yet when I log in the times are correct. I've only noticed this after the time change- daylight savings time.
I didn't put this in the tech section because I don't see it as a problem, only an interesting anomaly.
Anyone else notice this? It may be my browser and not the forum.

I think I read somewhere that on this website, all times are adjusted to a particular time zone,I can't remember which one though. I have noticed that a lot of my posts have a time on them that makes it look as though I am up and about impressively early in the mornings.

I'm not sure what it is or was. Hopefully it's fixed. When I posted in the thread 'Update on X-Marker, Nor Cal Rabble'r, Michael Steinrok ' it was 6'06 am Eastern Standerd time which was correct. When I logged out it showed the time on the post as 7'06 am. When I logged back on it showed the time as 6'06 am. Weird, not something you want to deal with while on your first cup of coffee. I first noticed it yesterday.

It is probably something to do with the unfinished narrations in this section, somebody's uncertainty principle is probably involved, so the time lines are wavering.

After considerable thought and two cups of espresso, I've decided it's probably some doofus messing with the space-time continuam.![Very Happy](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)

Dealing with it on the first cup of coffee would not be half as bad as dealing with it on the third or fourth glass of Scotch.

I'm pretty sure (though I welcome corrections if I'm wrong) that if you're not logged in, the forums default to the time on the server where the forum is hosted. When logged in, it takes the adjustment to get your time.
