Chicago to Toronto
Brilliant news! Apparently Porter Airlines has started service between Chicago Midway and Toronto. Maybe I can afford to get back to one of my favorite cities again even though the train service has disappeared! Now if I can only afford the accommodations at the Royal York...
Anyway, opens up some new possibilities, eh?

Well, it is one of the reasons why I've always thought (and mods, please don't strike me with your heavenly and majestic force for even daring to suggest this) there should be an Xmarksthescot Visa card that gets you airline miles so that you can travel around and crash kilt nights in other kilted regions!

...and, really, I know full well that that's an impossibility but one can dream...

It may be impossible, but sign me up for one. AA there are other hotels in the Toronto area, if you need a hand researching let me know, of course please keep us up to date, if you do make it up we will have to have a kilt night in your honour even if you spell honour without the u.

Oh, I know that there are other hotels...but last two times I've been there I stayed at the Royal York and I've been spoiled. Whenever I have to go to my "happy place" I imagine that I'm in the swimming pool at the RY floating on my back...

Have only seen the outside of the Royal York but it's an ambition of mine to one day stay there!

Porter Airlines is awesome AND inexpensive. The RY is a nice hotel but we have a whole lot of nice hotels here.
