First Holiday Party - Color Advice Please
Next Tuesday the 9th is my first holiday party. Its for work. An afternoon all staff meeting followed by dinner and dancing at a local saloon. Yes, on a Tuesday night...go figure.
Anyhow, to get into the spirit figured my most red and green kilt is my Scott red modern.
What I'm trying to figure out is should I wear bottle green hose with a red jacobite shirt, or reverse it and wear red hose with a green jacobite shirt...or match red shirt and red hose or green shirt and green hose...or toss in white somewhere...or chuck it all and not even attempt to dress in holiday colors to avoid a costume look? Just go with my "best dressed" look in another tartan??
I'm stumped. Suggestions appreciated. Here's the Scott tartan kilt.

Thanks,

Actually Ron, the color combination you have in the picture works pretty well. Use that as a guide.

IMHO, green hose. But I have to add that from all your photos, I think you have a pretty keen fashion sense. Have a great time.

Personally, I'm not a fan of getting all decked out in holiday colors (regardless of style of clothing). It's generally too much, to my eye. A little holiday color is good, like perhaps the scott kilt, but otherwise just dressed for the occasion as you would any other time of the year. Or perhaps another kilt that's less red/green, with red and green added through the shirt or hose.
That's just personal taste though. I think what you're wearing in the photo looks great

I'd say something like this would be perfect, with the Scott kilt

or perhaps something like I'm wearing here

Hmmm...should have thought of dress Macdonald longer before the holidays...
