Free kilt
TENTATIVELY TAKEN
Here's the Story...
About 6 months ago, the store was open on a Saturday and we got a rush of customers. After the store cleared out, I noticed a plastic 'dry cleaner' bag in the corner. I picked it up and there were a few kilted skirts and a Godron Dress 8 yard kilt (and matching tartan hose). No one knew where these came from or whose they were or why they were left.
I held onto them for 6 months to see if anyone would claim them. So far no one has. Today while cleaning out the back, I found them. I have given 2 kilted skirts away, but still have the Gordon Dress kilt.
The kilt is from 'October 1967' according to the tag. It's made by Andersons in Scotland.
It has been stored in a plastic bag (hanging) probably for years, so it will have to be dry cleaned. Same probably goes for the matching tartan hose (haven't inspected them too closely).
I want to give this kilt to someone with the following stipulations:
1. THEY WILL FIT into it: Size 34.5 (+/- 1 inch) Waist by about 39" hips by 24.5" TOTAL length (2.5" rise)
2. Someone who only has a CASUAL kilt and wants a Dress kilt but can't afford it or someone with NO kilts.
3. Recipient pays $10 shipping.
Email me if you want it: Rocky@USAKilts.com
First email gets it (according to time stamp).

Alas Rocky, neither my butt or my gut will fit those requirements, and as I am not destitute nether my pocket book would qualify me(my spouse would beg to differ), I doff my hat to you; You are a true Gentleman.

Not my size and I wouldn't qualify as I have plenty kilts already, but the thread title certainly made me look.
It reads like someone left these items for you because they wanted them to go to a good home, I am sure this is what they would have wished for the dress Gordon to go to a deserving person.

ah! A few too small for me, but I have a Gordon coming from SWK that should be here tomorrow. Then I start saving for the American Heritage semi-trad.
------------
Funny thing, I told my wife today that I have a kilt that should be here tommorow. First thing she said way 'yea!' followed quickly with 'wait. you ordered another kilt? why?'
She is happy with my answer that my great.....great grandmother was a Gordon.

Good on you,
If someone meets those criteria, I'll cover the shipping for them....simply because that would fit me, and I know how much they'll appreciate it.
Cheers,
Kevin.
