Houston Tartan Day April 6th
On Sunday, April 5th, at Noon there will be a Texas Tartan Day Celebration in Austin on the steps of the State Capital.
http://www.txscot.com/Tartan_day.htm#Austin
On Monday, April 6th, we will have a Tartan Day Memorial Celebration from 1:00 - 3:00 pm at the San Jacinto Monument in honor of all those of Scottish ancestry who fought for Texas independence.
Visit the website for more information and directions; http://www.sanjacinto-museum.org/ . There is a "veterans roll" listed on the website - see if you have any direct relatives who fought.
