And now for something completely different...
I have never needed justification for the wearing of the kilt, but for my wife that has been a different story, until she found this information in a book she was reading- (bear with me)
The Earthchild
There is one last esoteric factor before we explore the psychological aspects of the descent. Having worked with the chakras for more than 20 years, I have become increasingly concerned by the trend to number these energy centers in ascending order starting with the base, or Muladhara, chakra. Not only does this convention dilute the rich symbolism behind a name, but it also limits the opportunity to explore the presence of any center located beneath the base chakra. Does it not seem strange that no attention is paid to the energy tracking along the legs and into the feet.?
It is now known that there are twelve major chakras, one of which is called the earthchild, or root chakra, located about eighteen inches beneath the feet. This center, known to judges, priests and some Scottish men- all of whom wear some type of robe or skirt- connects us to the powerful energy that runs within the earth and is seen as the Mother's blood flow. Similar to volcanic lava, this hot energy is accessible to all of us in order to bring about the transfomation we hope for not only for ourselves, but also for the world. Like Scottish men, we might become aware that when we wear a skirt, we can embody this energy with greater ease than when we wear trousers. In my case, my conscious awareness of connecting to this energy through my feet has increased, reminding me that I am resonating with the pulse of the Great Earth Mother.
After reading this, my wife, Terry, asked me if I already knew this. I said, "intuitively, consciously, subconsciously or unconsciously?- Yup!" Nuff said!

So, that's the secret behind the kilt swagger, we're more in tune with the Earth Mother. I knew that there was a reason that wearing a kilt always made a man stand taller and walk a little prouder.

I say that whatever reasoning gets her to accept your kilt wearing is good enough! I suspect that she'll really be on board when she sees you in one and realizes its advantages. At least, that's how it worked with my wife.

Horse manure!
Girls just like guys in kilts.
But if it gets her going, well . . . OK then. I can feel the earth positively transmitting energy right into my being when kilted.

OK, so the kilt is good, but building foundations, which come between us and the Earth Mother, must be bad. I wonder if U-Haul rents jack-hammers.

I really thought it was actually dumb sounding at first. (I minored in religious studies in college) But I was sick over the weekend, and it makes everything a bit different to look at. I realized it actually makes sense to the point that if an energy was a balanced point below the body, it would be straight down, and flowing up would encounter fabric at the legs or where ever, but only if there are pants on. Of course, I havn't seen any chakra systems using subground level chakras, though I have seen hand based and so on, and seen the theory laid out that everything has a reflection to it under the teachings of 'as above as below' which is usually displayed as a tree, the roots not unlike the branches.
But if it works for her to want you in the kilt, don't question it, question what tartan you are going for next. I am set in my next two, I am.

Um, no. Look up 'tool rental' in the yellow pages. Funny thing, here in Piqua, the party rental store moved into a building with a tool rental company all into an old Big Lots building, so you could go the same place to get tablecloths and tents for a wedding and a cherry picker to post an armed guard if the groom tried to run..... just saying...
