Just have the bottom hemmed up w/ a blind hem, you'll never be able to tell. I had one of my first "cheap" kilts hemmed up this way, worked out great. I am 5'7" and it just needed to be done to be acceptable.

I have a couple of SWK standards and have had all of them hemmed by a local seamstress to 22" because I'm a fireplug 5'7". My kilts now hit just a bit above the navel, but I like to pull them up a tad more and have them rest just above my gut.

I'm 5-8, and WhoDey nailed it. Three words: blind hem stitch.

Another suggestion might be to see if all of us who are shorter than 6ft could convince the maker to offer a shorter option. Or a hemming service. Just in the interest of reaching the largest possible customer base and offer his service.
Anyway, I will be ordering an SWK this afternoon. hold on... Oh, the mailman just brought it in. I'll complete the order in a sec.
