Can anyone recommend a good pub in Inverness?
Not sure if this the place for this. Moderators please move if you feel necessary. Perhaps we need a Traveling To Scotland Forum?
I will be in Inverness next week on a honeymoon with my new bride (well come Saturday she will be) and we are looking for a good place in Inverness to get some adult beverages. We're looking for something traditional with some great Scottish atmosphere and authentic Scottish ales.
Thanks!

I know I live in Inverness-shire,but 70 miles from Inverness itself, so I am no help. I only pay fleeting visits to buy bullets and kilt attire and the shops are only yards apart! If you get time do visit Chisholms kilt makers situated right behind the castle. The weather is wonderful at the moment, don't let that fool you though, all the best to you both. Oh, just a thought, "Highlander Daz" is the man to get the real local info from.

One thing for sure, youi won't have any trouble finding pubs there. Hopefully someone can give you some recommendations. Now if it was Edinburgh I could help you there.

I'll be spending a couple of days in Inverness in July, so I'm also interested in any pub recommendations.

Try them all, twice, and report your findings to us.

It's not that big of a place and I am sure you will find many a charming pub. Be sure to check out Drumnadrochit near by.

Try the Castle Tavern on View Place and Blackfriars on Acadamy.
