Pay it Forward, FREE KILT
A few months ago I ordered my first kilt, a thrifty kilt from SWK, and like a little boy on christmas eve, I could not wait, and do to Jerry's shipping magic, I did not have to wait long. Since the arrival of that kilt I have worn it proudly and fondly.
Being a man of few finances I could only drool over the photos of other X-markers in their "real" kilts, in other words, kilts heavier and built a little better than mine.
After a post, I recieved a Private message from a fellow X-marker that he had a kilt in my family tartan that he did not wear, and he would send it to me for a "trial basis" free of charge. I recieved this beautiful kilt today, and being of my family tartan I hold it very dear to my heart, and I have even named it after my late grandmother who I miss dearly.
This trusting X-marker, who I don't know if he wants his name mentioned or not, was kind enough to send me a $200 plus kilt and even paid the shipping charges himself, this kind gesture has inspired me, and makes this kilt even more special.
That said, I would like to pass my "begginers" kilt on to someone who may be leary or just starting out kilting. All I ask is that when he "upgrades" or whatever, he pass this kilt on to another that was once like him.
I am including the belt and flashes I wore with this particular kilt.

That is a nice gesture, I'm sure there is a new kiltie out there that will jump on it. Please keep us informed.

I guess that cat is out of the bag.
Well done, both of you. Generosity breeds generosity.

This is a fantastic thing that you fellows are doing, and it just goes to show that the kilted community is one of the best groups of people that you'll ever find!
Cheers!

My hats off to the both of you. I think I'll jump on the band wagon and add a sporran to that. I recently ordered a package from Scotweb. The sporran that came with the package is a simple black leather affair. I'm ordering a nicer one from the Tartan Museum soon. So as soon as I receive the package I'm offering a brand new simple black sporran to anyone in need.
I might not have it for a while but as soon as I get a new sporran it'll be available.
Maybe an Xmarker or any kilt wearer that lost his or her kit in a fire or some other disaster we could assemble another kit for them.
