Scottish Event in Columbia, SC ????
Anyone know anything about it? Here's the link:
http://www.southcarolinastatemuseum....ts/tartan.aspx
It looks like a one day event to be held at the State museum. It seems that there will be some vendors there, but that it will mostly be a program of presentations.
Anyone familiar with? My Wife pointed it out to me, as she'd like to go down to Columbia to visit friends, I just don't know if this 'event' will warrant hauling the whole family out there, or if I should just try to duck off over for a bit to check it out solo.
If anyone know anything about it, please share....
Casey
BTW_ I think it's scheduled for next weekend, April the 4th.....

Casey,
The event in Columbia is run by Danny Skinner, a good friend and member of my crew at Grandfather. Danny has done this for several years and grown it into something nice for the folks in that area. Danny always has good music and this year you have Rathkeltair. Neil Anderson is also doing a talk on the history of the pipes and I think you would enjoy it either alone or with the family. He's got a pipe band, dancers, childrens activities, lectures and scotch tasting, pretty well covered for one afternoon.
Enjoy,
Donovan
