I think you will be fairly hard pressed to find an outfit of that calibre / quailty in a rental shop, you may have to make / alter some readily available gear for the wee one.

Please don't dress a wee lad of 5 up in a dark dreary black rig like that!!! Put him in a kilt and a nice white shirt--round collar variety for children of that age. He'll look much nicer, more his age.

It would be helpful to know where you are located (UK, USA, Canada?).

That's a tad pricey for something he's going to grow out of in a short time thinks I.

CT - you can get one made for less (but we need to know where you are).

    I agree with JFSMACLJR.

There are plenty of good things for kids that they'll enjoy more.

See Scotland Yard if you are in the US. (I'm not paid to say that, I've just had great service at critical times and their service is excellent).

    Thanks for that everyone.

I should have mentioned. I am an exiled Scot living in Manchester. i think your right that it is a little drab for a wain, so i will have a look for a lighter colours.

    cheers

    Tugglesf78,

What do you think of an outfit like this: http://www.scotweb.co.uk/package_bui...r_boyspcoutfit

I don't have a little boy to test my theory on, but I think you can dress a wee lad up in dazzling highland attire for fairly cheap via Walmart or the like. The only thing you have to go elsewhere for is the kilt, the sporran, and sometimes the hose. (knee high socks in the little girl's section would work in a pinch)

See if I had a wee lad of 5 and I had to dress him up for some fancy function I would simply get him a nice dress shirt of a coordinating colour with his kilt, some regular dress shoes, maybe a zipper tie, and a vest that is 3 or 4T depending on how tall he is. See...the younger size will be shorter and just perfect for kilt wear.

Just don't tell your lad that you got his hose in the girls section or he'll never wear them. Don't even tell them they're hose or you might have a fight on your hands
