Has anyone seen "deadliest warrior" ?

I DON'T KNOW HOW MANY OF YOU HAVE SEEN A SHOW CALLED "DESDLIEST WARRIOR" ON SPIKE TV, BUT WHAT THEY DO IS TAKE TWO DIFFERENT WARRIOR TRIBES/CLANS OF PEOPLE WHO NEVER MET IN REAL LIFE, AND INPUT INFO ON THEIR RESPECTIVE WEAPONS AND ACCURACY OF SAID WEAPONS AS WELL AS FIGHTING STYLES INTO A COMPUTER SIMULATION. THEY SIMMULATE ONE THOUSAND FIGHTS AND WHO WINS THE MOST FIGHTS WOULD THEORETICALLY WIN IN REAL LIFE.
LAST NIGHT THEY HAD WILLIAM WALLACE VS. SHAKA ZULU. WILLIAM WALLACE WON THE MOST, WELL LET'S FACE IT THE SCOT'S HAD SWORDS AND DIRKS, THE AFRICAN'S HAD BONE, WOOD, IND STONE. THE PROBLEM I HAD WAS WHEN THEY DID THE REENACTING OF WALLACE IN BATTLE WITH HIS MEN THEY WERE KILTED BUY THEY .................................................. .................
ALL HAD LONG PANTS ON UNDER THE KILT!!!!!!
    I WAS VERY DISSAPOINTED

There is a thread going on about this here, and please Cap Lock Off, we don't need you screaming some of us trying to sleep. The kilts didn't look too great and were not historically correct, with the armor Wallace should have had the fight would have been even more one sided.

After seeing the commercial, I realized how off they were with this show, so I chose not to watch it.

For one thing, the guy with the curly hair is just a nerdy little bedwetter who wouldn't know how to fight unless it was on a video game.
And that other guy? He's just kind of...there..what does he...do?
It seems the only guy who knows his stuff is the Doc.

Next: The way they rate, you've got two TOTALLY different combat styles and technology in almost every episode, and not to mention time periods.
And plus it depends on the individual in every circumstance, like when they had Green Berets vs. Spetznatz(sp?), when they were testing the handguns, the Green Beret was just a lousy shot!

The software? How the heck does that work?!?! I'd like to know how they programmed the thing. Plus, are there any glitches?

    Finally, historic accuracy:
While I can't speak for many of them, such as the Maori, or Shaka Zulu, I can safely say that their version of Sir. William Wallace doesn't even match up to Mel Gibson's standards!
    1. He would have been tall, strong, and probably clean.
    2. He would have been wearing full armour, even if kilts existed at the time (Which they didn't, by the way).
    3. He would probably be mounted, He was a knight you know.
    4. He would not have used a targe, especially not with a Claed Mor.
    5. He would most likely not wear any tartan.
    6. Dang it man, He was a KNIGHT, not a barbarian (after all we're Celts, the most civilized of all Europe back then).

I could go on and on and on again, the show is rubbish.

I didn't watch as i knew they would botch it, even though I like the show.

They should have just pitted Highlanders against the Zulu tribes.

Gentlemen, please! This show is meant as ENTERTAINMENT! It in no way attempts to present itself as historically accurate. In the past, other groups have pitted Babe Ruths Yankees against the team of the 1990s, Cassius Clay versus Ali, Richards Habs versus Gretzkys Oilers. They are only playing a game of "What if......". BTW, this is only being posted out of concern for those that may suffer from high blood pressure.;)

    Thanks Mike
History aside, it was an entertaining show, and it was good to see Wallace win.

Well they could have shown Wallace running down Shaka Zulu on his horse, it could have been entertaining.
