    The Best Compliment This Week

    Hell-o all,

I usually do not relate the compliments that I get, but I really have to relay this one.

I just got back from the grocery store wearing my Hunting Stewart, a Guinness polo shirt, and hiking boots with my socks rolled down. This gentleman kept saying "that's tight man, that is really tight"

Sorry I didn't have my camera with me.

The irony is kilts are kind of loose.

You made an impression on someone day.

    Regards,

I love it when that happens unexpectedly. I always wonder if we open the other guys mind enough to where he'll get himself a kilt. Hope so.

Obviously, he was a younger man, and you made a very good impression upon him... that is great... its encounters like this, that help open the doors to the younger generation make that step into wearing a kilt..Good Show!

My dad went to the hospital on Friday to talk to his doctor and scedule an appointment for a diagnostic. I drove him there and stayed while he set things up. His doctor, it turned out, was born in India, and raised in Scotland. He had the most bizarre accent I had ever heard. Anyways... He was really surprised that Colorado has a tartan, which is what I was wearing. I got a few of those unexpected comments at the hospital. I don't normally post about comments either, but there are some fun ones.

The Colorado Tartan was designed by the same person who designed the Episcopal Clergy Tartan that I wear.

I also had a couple of interesting complements the last two days. Yesterday I went to the yarn shop to pick up something for my wife. I happened to wear shorts. The owner said that she didn't recognize me with my pants on!

This morning a man in church complemented my appearance in a kilt. He admitted that it's making him think about getting a kilt. As an aside, he's a Maricopa County Superior Court Judge. I suspect that kilts would not be frowned upon in his court.

    .
I didn't know that was designed in Colorado! I haven't seen that one. Do you have a link to pictures of it? I have a kilt made from modern Clergy/Clark, and I love it- but it's a little too busy.

As to the lack of recognition in pants thing- I had that comment made to me once!

I get most of my loud comments (across stores and parking lots) from young people (20ish).

I get most of my flirtatious comments from ladies 40ish to 50ish.

I get most of my rudest comments from drunk men 40ish (as I am getting admired by their ladies).
