RFI: A question for the kilt forum archivists

Quite some time ago, say, around 2006 (that's eons ago in Internet time), I came across a forum devoted strictly to the review and discussion of traditional, hand-sewn, wool tartan kilts. This was a splinter group from one of the proto-kilt forums - either Tom's Cafe or Bravehearts, both now defunct. I recall that its rules were even more rigid than... Well, let's just say that it had a notably narrow aperture through which topics could enter the dialog.

I have lost track of this forum and would be pleased if anyone could provide me a pointer to it (or in the direction of it's penumbra if it is gone) via PM. Despite a rather serious attempt at searching the present Internet for it, I am coming up empty handed.

Mods, I do not intend for this thread to become a discussion about the merits and flaws of the various kilt forums, though a history tracing their pedigree might be interesting. I also do not intend this to devolve into a debate about the place of one style of kilt over another. In fact, should this post or any public responses to it violate the rules, (I checked, and note: "Links, images, promotions, or advertising pertaining to offensive or competitive sites are not permitted"), I would not hesitate to shut it down at the first sign.

    Many thanks in advance,
    Rex.

    Yes, I believe it was.

    Thanks again,
