Operation Enduring Freedom Kilt Hose

Piperdbh came up with a terrific idea for the kilt hose he made for the Specialist Boyd kilt presentation on 11 July - Operation Enduring Freedom Kilt Hose. These hose have the Afghanistan Campaign medal ribbon knitted into the cuffs. This is the most unique and original idea for kilt hose that I've ever seen.

Everybody give Piperdbh a big hand and an attaboy for his hard work and his original creation.

Interesting idea. I was given a key fob type thing awhile back that is in the colors of the Vietnam Service Medal. It is three strands of beads hanging side by side with a clip on the top that will fasten to anything around the kilt such as a belt loop or a sporran strap or such. I have been in the process of gathering beads to make more and perhaps show them on Sydnie's Flamingo Kilt web site. I was also looking at other service ribbon colors.

I've thought of making flashes out of campaign medal ribbon before, SW Asia Service Medal among others, but never followed through with it. Perhaps after this example I will.
