We have a bunch of threads about Retro Red going on and wasn't sure where to put this

I never met this fellow in person, just online at XMTS through posts and PMs

I included him in one of my silly stories confident that he of all people would enjoy the humor.

Craig was someone that I always knew that I would see.

Perhaps down in Palm Springs when Hamish came to visit nest

Or maybe we would get him over to our Nor Cal Rabble's annual Burns Night Supper

Maybe I would bite the bullet and head out to the desert and meet up with him and the infamous Sonoran Scotsmen.

He seemed full of good will and vitality

I remember reading how he donated his mane of red hair to Locks of Love (and even incorporated his shaved state into the story)

I made the little wooden Saltire airship to travel the world and I can't tell you all how delighted I was to see it with Craig.

It came as a complete shock that soon after he passed it along that he was struck ill.

His last post on XMTS was brief and to the point

He had cancer and it was going to kill him

He didn't have a joke this time.

Craig just let us know the facts

Soon after , far too soon, he was with us no more

I've been talking with so many people here on our forum and his death affected us

Which means his life did too

I am so sorry I will never shake his hand or hear one of his terrible puns in person

I bet he had a heck of laugh

I bet his smile was infectious

I'm going to miss him and his posts and most of all his terrible puns

Tonight a memorial service is going on to celebrate his life

I wish I could be there

All I can say is that I'm glad he came here to XMTS and made us laugh

When I post jokes here I'll think of him

My heart goes out to his wife, family, and friends

Good bye Craig

Sincerely

James
