The Golf Balls of Loch Ness

So, apparently the bottom of Loch Ness is absolutely COVERED with accumulated golf balls. Here's a little article with a video that shows some footage of the bottom of the lake.

My theory? They're actually Nessie eggs camouflaged so as not to attract attention and a wave of Nessies in pet stores.
