Record Setting Day
I've just returned from our last festival of the year. No more fudge and nuts for awhile. The festival was in Urbanna, Va---the 52nd Oyster Festival. Great show for us--but I digress.
Friday was a record setting day for me. Occasionally at our festivals I will get requests to have my picture taken with someone. (Always female of course. ) Well, Friday I got FOUR picture requests. The first two were from a couple of ladies from Oklahoma. "We never see a man dressed in a kilt in Oklahoma." Hey, are there no Okies on XMTS???
Next was from a young attractive lady. "I love a man in a kilt."
Next was an even younger, and more attractive lady. "I want a picture to take home with me" When I asked where home was, she said Chester, Va. (Just down the road! Weird!)
Also got a number of positive comments, including two remarking on the fact that I have great legs to wear a kilt. Hey keep in mind I'm a portly 62 year old. Ah, it's so good for the ego.

Congrats on the record, and you had a beautiful weekend for it. Where are the pics?

When given a choice, most people will choose.

I know of a couple people who wear kilts in Oklahoma, I am not sure if they are members here..

Congrats on the great day.. I am in a lot of pictures, that are not on my camera. This FAT 58 year old is regularly asked to pose with some very attractive and very young ladies while I am out and about. I never get copies of the pics The fun part is that its usually the boyfriend that is asked to take the pic. I have then later been approached by the boyfriend and asked where he can get a kilt. Usually give him my Xmarksthescot greeting card and tell him to check out the advertisers on the board.
There is something about being kilted on the Tube.... The pictures seem to include a kilt check.

I suppose the pictures are in the other's cameras. I've made the mistake before of not getting pictures of the people I meet.

The oyster festival is more about eating than picture taking opportunities. Lots of great food, a whole lot of walking, and local vendors selling things on the streets. For a food festival, I prefer the Va. Pork festival, in Emporia. The food there is small sample portions, but it is all included in the ticket price, including beer and whiskey, whereas in Urbana, you have to pay for everything.
