Heh. I had just finished saying to my girlfriend that the cooler weather tomorrow would be a good reason to wear my new tweed waistcoat. Look at me accidentally being fashionable!

Wow - I really should have taken you warning about not looking at the prices more seriously! Luckily my wife and cat were able to perform CPR on my limp and lifeless body and I'm back. Talk about a fantastic article - both tweeds and tintypes celebrated here. Thanks for the link Rex, luckily gents like you and I know tweed transcends fashion with its classic rugged beauty, its earthy textures, and its very mix and matchable color combinations.

As for tintypes, I'm a sucker for them. There are a couple of old bookstores that have baskets full of them for next to nothing. Its hard to resist their vernacular groovyness and just a bit sad that they have been separated from their families. Fortunately there are kooks like me to tuck them between pages as bookmarks.

Gosh, I've been wearing tweed so long that I don't even care that I am cool now.

I just wish someone would tell my wife that I am not looking like "an old guy" now! I love this time of year so I can wear a sweater vest with a tweed jacket and a wool tie.
